Beauty Technik and Sangaree Join Forces to Help Washingtonians Spring Forward
WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 19th 2010) ‐‐ Georgetown nights are known for their chic sophistication, and this April, Sangaree, one of its most stylish boutiques, hosted Beauty Technik's "Spring Forward" event.
"It's spring, so women want a fresh start. They are looking to makeover their makeup and their
wardrobes," said Sangaree buyer Aja Robinson. "This is the first time we've featured a makeup, and I think that it has gone wonderfully."
Beauty Technik a premium mineral makeup brand, prides itself on its purity and use of all natural
ingredients. The brand was first created in London in 2005 by Natasha Iwegbu. A product design engineerby profession, she perfected the products once she moved to Washington four years ago, and the line now includes airbrush mineral foundation pots and compacts, blushes, eye shadows, lip balms and bronzers
 When speaking to guests Ms. Iwegbu explained, "This all started on my kitchen table. I had terrible breakouts from the products available on the market, and I wanted to create an alternative. This night marked the debut of Sangria, a rose plum lip balm that is reminiscent of its namesake. Sangria,like other Beauty Technik balms, is made from a hydrating blend of essential oils, luxurious emollients, and avocado, shea and jojoba butters. It is a sassy complement to Beauty Technik foundations and blushes.
During the three‐hour soiree, over 50 women came through Sangaree's doors, and they were treated to complimentary makeovers and a fabulous fashion show featuring a variety of professional and casual looks that will help them sail through spring and summer.
The night's activities had guests buzzing. Describing Beauty Technik's best attributes, Sarah Aburdene said, "It's lightweight and feels good on. Also, I like knowing exactly what I'm putting on my skin." Nichole Venable added, "Beauty Technik gave me a glow I didn't know I could get from makeup! The event was fun, flirty, and filled with fashionistas. We snapped up all the Beauty Technik products we could get our hands on."
Beauty Technik not only has the endorsement of its users, but also beauty professionals. "This is by far the best product I've ever used," said Anthony Haskell, a celebrity makeup artist who has joined the Beauty Technik team. "It blows my mind."
